We're committed to being a responsible business that treats people with respect, protects our planet and makes a positive contribution to the communities where we work.
For us, environmental, social and governance (ESG) is more than just good intentions. We want to do our bit by putting our skills and resources to work in ways that really serve our community and build a better future.
Our latest ESG report outlines what we've been up to across the business, from working to cut emissions to our community fundraising and diversity initiatives.
Our ethical code sets out the values and principles that guide the work we do at Prima and are embodied by our people and partners.
At its 2015 summit, the UN set out its targets to hit by 2030. These included 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), from cutting carbon emissions to fighting inequality. We know the insurance sector has a big role to play in hitting these targets. And so we're committed to doing our bit here at Prima.
Diversity is not an obligation, it is an advantage. Different perspectives add huge value to the teamwork that is so vital in any tech business. By bringing together individuals with their own skills, creativity and experiences, we are able to achieve more as a team than any individual every could.
We carried out a materiality analysis – with help from a specialist partner – to understand exactly where and how we can make a difference. This helped us put together our five sustainable development goals (SDGs):
Promote well-being and enable people of all ages to lead healthy lives.
Ensure quality, equitable and inclusive education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Foster lasting, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, durable and sustainable.
Take urgent measures to fight climate change and its consequences.
