Renewal of the Title Sponsorship agreement signed in Barcelona, following the Team World Championship victory in the MotoGP® class in 2023.
To celebrate the announcement, the contemporary artist Miguel Caravaca has illustrated this adventure by creating special fairings, as well as an art gallery in the box featuring paintings dedicated to the team members.
Prima Assicurazioni and Pramac Racing have chosen to continue the Title Sponsorship agreement signed in 2022, renewing a successful partnership that led Prima Pramac Racing to victory in the Team World Championship in the 2023 Season, an unprecedented feat for an independent team in the history of MotoGP™. This is a partnership based on shared values, confirming a special understanding between the two. Prima Assicurazioni will be Title Sponsor for a further three championship seasons, from 2025 to 2027.
Paolo Campinoti, Team Principal of Prima Pramac Racing: “I am happy to announce the extension of our collaboration with Prima until 2027. During these last three years together, we have chalked up a series of important achievements, the most emblematic of which was the victory in the MotoGP™ Team World Championship in 2023, a result that had never been achieved by an independent team like ours. The 2024 season has got off to a very good start, with encouraging results on the track, and I hope we will continue to collect satisfying results over the coming three-year period we are set to embark on together. I would like to thank Miguel Caravaca, whose art has represented the values and the people that make up our team, allowing us to make an original, creative entry into this new chapter together with Prima.”
George Ottathycal, CEO of Prima Assicurazioni: “Back in 2022, when we chose to join forces with Team Pramac Racing, few could have imagined we would go so far together. We are experiencing this third season as Title Sponsor of the Team, which we’re celebrating here in Barcelona with the signing of a new three-year agreement, with even more enthusiasm than for the first two. The 2022 and 2023 seasons exceeded everyone’s expectations, making us proud of this partnership, which we are pleased to renew on the basis of shared principles and values. For us, MotoGP™ is a strategic choice, with which it is our intention to continue to support the growth of the Prima Assicurazioni brand in terms of popularity among the general public, whose propensity to follow us and choose our services also depends on the visibility and the activities we are able to build thanks to these important – and thus far successful – sponsorship agreements. This popular, global, much-loved sport also supports our international growth plan, which today has allowed Prima Assicurazioni to be present in two key countries, Spain and the UK.”
The renewal of the agreement between Prima Assicurazioni and Team Prima Pramac Racing, comes at the heart of a third exciting year – at least as thrilling, if not more so, than last year – in which the team heads the provisional riders’ ranking with Jorge Martin.
To celebrate the renewal, the contemporary Spanish artist Miguel Caravaca has produced a number of portraits of the Team members, which will turn in the box into an authentic art gallery throughout the weekend of the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya. The principle that inspired the artist is one of the cornerstones of the winning combination formed by Prima Assicurazioni and Pramac Racing: the importance of people.
The artist has also created a special livery to celebrate the renewal of the partnership, visible on the fairings of the bikes and on all the riders’ suits during Sunday’s Gran Prix.
Gino Borsoi, Team Manager of Prima Pramac Racing: “This is a special sporting moment for us, and knowing we can count on a partner such as Prima for another three years is undoubtedly important. Our team is our family. We spend so many days together during the year, sharing a passion for what we do, the highs of victory and the lows of defeat. In the motor sports environment, where technology plays a leading role, the human aspect can sometimes take a back seat, and this is why it’s such a pleasure for me to see our world portrayed through the eyes of a great artist and motorcycling enthusiast such as Caravaca. I am happy to be celebrating this renewal in a way that highlights the values shared by Prima and Pramac Racing, which have created a synergy that combines motor sports and art, illustrating both in a single setting: thePrima Pramac Racing box, during the Grand Prix of Catalonia”.
Prima Assicurazioni and Pramac Racing: different, yet united by a passion that they have today chosen to continue to experience, together. For another three years.
