According to the latest Prima survey, most Spanish customers (31.4%) now prefer online comparison websites for choosing car insurance.
Prima, the insurtech which specialises in car insurance, has joined forces with the largest price comparison website in Europe: CHECK24. Spanish customers can now find Prima insurance offered entirely online through CHECK24, reaffirming the company’s commitment to digitising insurance.
Prima revolutionised the Italian insurance market when it launched there in 2014. The insurtech reached more than 3.5 million customers in less than ten years. It now looks to build its presence in Spain and bring value and innovation to the country’s insurance market.
Thanks to this new alliance, Spanish CHECK24 users can now explore Prima's third-party, extended third-party and all-risk car insurance (with and without excess) and buy it 100% online, without having to call or leave the comparator's website. It promises a simple user experience that, combined with the competitive prices Prima is known for, should help both companies expand and grow.

This agreement with CHECK24 follows a growing trend in Spain for using price comparison websites to find insurance. According to a recent survey carried out by Prima, together with consulting firm Nielsen, comparison platforms are the preferred source of information for users when buying a policy. 31.4% of those surveyed favour these sites over more traditional sources of insurance information, such as recommendations from friends and family (22.7%) and advice from insurance agents or brokers (22.4%).
