Meet the pioneers. Working hand in hand with every country, the Advance Analytics team gathers intel from multiple markets, identifies scalable best practices, and contributes ideas for technical upskilling. From building machine learning models to managing complex data pipelines, they're the driving force behind Prima's international success. As a Data Scientist, some of your activities will be:
As Data Scientist, some of your activities will be::
  • Design, build and evolve Prima’s proprietary predictive technology, in topics such as the prediction of future claims, tactical pricing, renewal probability, fraud detection and customer lifetime value, etc;
  • Develop a strong critical spirit and creativity that can act as an engine for Prima's growth;
  • Embrace learning with enthusiasm with the support of experienced colleagues and grow quickly, assuming more responsibilities within the team.

  • Are you the ideal candidate for this exciting role? Here's what we're looking for::
  • Impressive academic achievements in Mathematics, Computer science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematical Engineering, Physical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering;
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role or recent PhD / Postdoc degree; 
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience in predictive statistical modelling and applied mathematical optimization;
  • Strong Python programming skills - especially in the data domain - and fluent use of GIT;
  • Excellent English level, oral & written;
  • You have a genuine, collaborative mindset that inspires and guides others. 

  • In addition to the basic requirements, we will carefully evaluate these characteristics as a plus::
  • Previous work experience in similar roles, including consulting experience and /or programming experience at corporate level within production frameworks and standards;
  • Strong background in mathematical optimization, linear and nonlinear programming, convex optimization, combinatorial optimization techniques, metaheuristics (such as genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, and particle swarm optimization), and stochastic optimization methods;
  • A deep understanding of application of advanced optimization techniques to real-world problems is also advised such as hands-on experience with optimization libraries and frameworks (such as Gurobi, CPLEX, or SciPy).
