The Role:

Are you ready to step into a pivotal role where your expertise in compliance and risk management will shape the future of a fast moving insurtech? As a Compliance Analyst at Prima, you will be at the heart of ensuring our operations run smoothly within the regulatory landscape while supporting our innovative approach to motor insurance. You’ll be part of a passionate team, driving our commitment to compliance excellence and protecting our customers while enabling the business to push boundaries.

What you’ll be doing:
Shape the future of compliance: You’ll support the development and execution of our Compliance Monitoring Plan, making sure that every box is ticked, every test is thorough, and every outcome is reported. You’ll help keep the company ahead of the regulatory curve, maintaining our commitment to best-in-class compliance.

Drive policy excellence: You'll oversee the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies, ensuring they are not only aligned with regulations but also fit for an Insurtech like Prima.

Own risk events response: When incidents happen, you’ll be in the thick of it - escalating issues, documenting the situation, and ensuring everything is swiftly addressed. You’ll collaborate across teams to prevent future occurrences and make sure we’re always learning and improving.

Horizon scanning mastermind: Stay ahead of the game by monitoring regulatory changes that impact the industry and record them on the emerging risk register. You’ll assess how new regulations affect us, communicate key updates, and help ensure we’re always one step ahead.

Key player in governance and MI: You’ll prepare insightful reports and present findings to the Customer Outcomes Forum, Risk and Compliance Committee. Your contributions will help guide key business decisions and ensure our compliance framework remains robust and responsive.

Champion for training: You’ll play a critical role in training staff, ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities and how to navigate the complex regulatory landscape.

Data protection advocate: You'll ensure we handle personal data responsibly and in compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws, safeguarding both the business and our customers.

Be the guardian of risk: From identifying risks to assessing their impact on our business, you’ll help us stay one step ahead. You’ll keep our risk registers up to date, support risk mitigation strategies, and play a key role in keeping the company safe as we grow.

Collaborate with auditors: Be a point of contact for internal and external reviews and audits, ensuring we’re always audit-ready and demonstrating that our compliance framework is rock solid.

Who You Are:

- You bring at least 2 years of experience in a risk or compliance role, or the insurance or Insurtech sector.
- You understand the complexities of the motor insurance market and love the challenge of navigating regulatory landscapes.
- You have some understanding of UK regulatory requirements, particularly those affecting insurance - think eg. FCA rules and GDPR.
- You’re a proactive problem solver with a talent for spotting risks and finding ways to mitigate them before they escalate.
- Your organisational skills are second to none - you can juggle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and never let a deadline slip.
- You’re a natural communicator, capable of working with cross-functional teams and presenting complex ideas to senior management in a way that’s easy to understand.
- You’re detail-oriented, passionate about compliance, and ready to take ownership of critical processes.
- Experience with compliance monitoring frameworks and risk management tools is a bonus.
