Prima UK, which launched in 2022, operates under an outsourced claims handling model through a Third Party Administrator (TPA). However, to enhance efficiency and control, Prima is now gearing up to gradually internalise the claims handling process over the coming months, with the ultimate goal of establishing an insourced model for the long term.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to be our UK Claims Product Manager. As part of an international claims platform product team, you will be the main point of contact for the UK claims business team and will contribute to the roadmap and the delivery of the Global Claims Platform.
You will have the opportunity to be in the driving seat for this important platform which is a key strategic priority for Prima. Your work will have a significant impact on the UK business’ success and growth.
You will work closely with engineering teams and the other Prima product teams and stakeholders to deliver a platform that will make Prima’s claims management the best in the market.
You will be responsible for:
- Product definition: defining the detailed roadmap and product specifications for a number of complex use cases within the Prima Global Claims Platform
- Prioritization and planning: prioritising and planning the product development efforts with the development teams and your stakeholders
- Product delivery: collaborating with a cross-functional agile team to deliver on your plans, organising and taking part in the day-to-day work and making sure that everyone is working towards the same goals
- Stakeholder management: you will be the key point of contact for the UK Claims team, but your stakeholders will also include other teams within Prima, pricing and underwriting, finance, and senior management. You will be responsible for gathering information about their needs and priorities, synthesising them in your product roadmap and specs, and keeping them updated and aligned
- Strategy: working closely with the Claims domain Product and Engineering leadership, and the UK business leadership to contribute to the definition of the overall strategy Claims in the UK and the Global Claims Platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a product manager of software products.
- Lean approach to solving complex business problems
- Great verbal, and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technically and strategically complex concepts to all audiences at all levels
- A pragmatic approach, the ability to thrive under the pressure of changing and moving targets
- Able to work independently in ambiguous situations
- Entrepreneurial and performance-orientated
- Good understanding/awareness of data modelling and data implications when defining products
- A technical background with experience understanding technical concepts
Nice to haves:
- Experience working on tech products in insurance or a heavily regulated industry (e.g. fintech)
- Knowledge of either Italian or Spanish
- Knowledge of SQL
